What are Polygons and their types.
Polygons are figures which have many sides. The side of a polygon are line segments.Name of polygon is defined by the number of sides.A regular polygon is one that has equal sides. Polygons also have diagonals, which are segments that join two vertices and are not sides.
Polygons having different convexity.
1.Convex Polygon : Polygon that has all its interior angle less than 180 degree.Regular polygonas are always convex.A line drawn through a convex polygon will intersect the polygon exactly twice.
2.Concave Polygon : A regular polygon is never concave.A concave polygon has one or more interior angle more than 180 degrees. It is apposite of convex polygon.A line drawn through a concave polygon will intersect the polygon at more than two places.
3.Star Polygon : A polygon intersecting itself in regular fashion.
4.Cyclic Polygon : It is a circle shaped polygon.
5.Equilateral Polygon: This type of polygon has all edges of equal length.
