San Diego State University Library San Diego State University

MATLAB is a desktop programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numerical computation that expresses matrix and array mathematics directly.  Simulink is a graphical environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multidomain dynamic and embedded systems.  San Diego State University has a campus-wide Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license for MATLAB, Simulink and 54 add-on products.  You may install MATLAB on your personal computer or laptop.

Commercial use of MathWorks products is not covered by our TAH license, so if you are using a commercial license, please continue to do so.

MATLAB is avaliable on the lab computers in the Library Computing Hub, the Library's 24/7 Study Area, and also in the GMCS Math and Computing Science Computing labs.
